Oceanside, CA is the nearest town.
I googled Oceanside, and this link had real estate in it. If you're really that close on the list, might look for a Residence Inn or something like that.

Welcome to San Diego County!
Welcome back! I am headed to ODS this weekend (hopefully... it's a little dicey right now with timing on my commissioning papers). Do you have any helpful tips on what to bring, and what not to bring. I know there is information on the ODS webpage, but I would love some first hand advice from someone who knows and was just there. I am excited, but also a little nervous and don't really know what to expect! Would LOVE some advice!

Hello fellow shipmates,
Just wanted to let you guys know I am finally done with ODS and after 3 days of complete bed rest (not used to the sleep deprevation) I'm back writing. I wanted to say thank you to everyone for all the words of encouragement and answering all the questions I had regarding Navy Nursing and ODS you guys where awsome and made my journey that much easier!!! Well I need more advice where should I live?? I am on the on base housing waiting list, number 12 to be exact, where do I live in the meantime. Has anyone ever been stationed in the Camp Pendleton area? How are the school systems?
