On prince tech's website it says there are night classes starting in January and day class starting in September.
My questions are: will it be all the c.c. listed that will offer the program..or just certain ones??
Do the night classes have clinicals at the same night time or during day/weekend?
If you finish the LPN program through a community college does this coursework count towards your pre-req for RN...such as a+p,chem, bio, etc?
Thanks so much!

There are no LPN courses in the Connecticut Community Colleges. All the schools for LPN are either State tech school programs or private ones.
Lincoln Tech, Porter and Chester, and Stone are all private tech schools.
Bullard Havens, Prince, etc are all State run programs in their tech schools.
You would have to check the State Tech Schools you are interested in to see if they offer an LPN program because not all of the Tech Schools do.
Most LPN programs (even State Tech ones) have A&P, etc for classes but they are not college level. So if you wanted to continue on to RN you would have to take college level classes in order to use them for the RN pre-reqs.
Times and days for clinicals are usually the same time and day but due to limited clinical sites most schools reserve the right to change date/times.
I went to one of the Private schools and I know that some of our night students had to do clinicals during the day because the required rotations that the State mandates were only open during the day hours.
Best course of action for you is to either call or email the school(s) you are looking into and ask the questions you have to them.
Best of luck.
Here is a list of schools in CT that offer an LPN course:
A.I. Prince Regional Vocational Technical School, Hartford
Bullard-Havens Regional Vocational Technical School, Bridgeport
E.C. Goodwin Regional Vocational Technical School, New Britain
Eli Whitney Regional Vocational Technical School, Hamden
Henry Abbott Regional Vocational Technical School, Danbury
Howell Cheney Satellite School, Enfield
J.M. Wright Regional Vocational Technical School, Stamford
Norwich Regional Vocational Technical School, Norwich
Vinal Regional Vocational Technical School, Middletown
W.F. Kaynor Regional Vocational Technical School, Waterbury
Windham Regional Vocational Technical School, Willimantic
Private Programs:
Lincoln Technical Institute - Hamden, Shelton & New Britain campuses
Porter and Chester - Watertown
Stone Academy - East Hartford, Hamden

Just a FYI, the state lpn school's curriculum has changed. There are now prerequisites prior to entering. Once you are done, when the lpn applies to college, the lpn program counts as credits towards their associate degree.
There is more info on this on cttech.org site.

Hi- If you are interested in an evening LPN program, I know there is one starting this January and the deadine to enter is (I think) about November lst, so you need to check on it asap. There is info about it on the State Tech website and I believe only one of the state programs is offering it in January. Most of the other LPN courses begin NEXT January and the website says info will be coming out in the spring.
There are prerequisites to get in and you also have to take the nursing test. There is always a waiting list at any of the state schools too.
I am going to try and get in the day program for next January, complete that and then work and do the bridge program over to the RN program. There aren't as many prereqs to get into the LPN program and the entrance test is not as hard. I can then bridge over and do a last year at one of the community colleges. Good luck!
