I'm curious to know if anyone has applied to chamberlain school of nursing. If so I would like some info on the hesi exam. I was told that they allow you to take this test 2x and they will average both your scores so that you have a passing grade. I just took my exam on tue and failed by 4points. I'm trying not to get discouraged I'm going to stay positive that I get in. I went to the open house for this school and fell in love it! I soooo want this experience! I want to be a RN and I want to get my start there! So if anyone has any advice about the hesi and the averaging of the 2 scores please let me know and also what your experience was with the admissions process period.

I got 100% on the math and 97% on the english. I can't help with the english; I would recommend the study guides. I did well on english because that's what my major was. I did study a lot for the math.

It is simple math, fractions, ratios, and conversions. There are a TON of comparisons, such as: 1:x, 2:15, find x. You also need to know a lot of measurements.

I memorized the following:

8 ounces in 1 cup

2 cups in 1 pt

2 pts in 1 qt

4 qts in 1 gallon

16 ounces / 1 lb

2.204 lbs / 1 kg

29.5735 ml / 1 oz

.3048 meters / 1 ft

F=C(9/5) + 32

C=(F-32)(5/9)

There are several metric conversions, so learn them.

If you memorize those equations, and take your time double-checking every answer, even the simple math, you'll do fine.

Hey I'm starting school this May (hopefully, I turned in my passion statement and waiting on transcripts) there's a open house this Saturday I'm attending.

Good. Glad you like it. I plan to start in August. Just dealing with financial aide and transfering credits right now. Good luck with everything! We may have some classes together :up:

Ya I'm waiting on transcripts to come in and hopefully I don't have to take so many pre reqs. Cause god this place is expensive but should be worth it!!
