Comfortable Shoes

Can anyone recommend some comfortabe shoes to work in?

They're a little pricey, but Sven makes a type called "Laurels". The lace-ups are really nice. The slip-ons tend to "slip" too much. I've bought two pair in the last two years. (one to wear to work, and the other for normal days) They're really comfortable!!

Thank you ACROSBY08, I think I will try them out.

Danskos are my recommendation. First year and a half I tried running shoes, walking shoes, and crocs. Got tired of my feet feeling like I was walking on hot coals at the end of a 12. Spent the 100 bucks for my first pair and I'll never go back (4 years in this pair). So.....yes they are a little pricey but it was worth twice that to finally have some comfortable shoes. My 2 cents.....

If you are on a budget, I like the Skechers "croc" version...I think the style is called "cali"...they are slimmer on the foot, are made out of the same antimicrobial material as crocs...and I have seen them as low as $13.00 a pair.

I had a pair of $60 nursing shoes that I ditched for them.

Thank You, I will certainly consider Danskos.

Hopeful 2009, where can these Skechers be purchased?

I found them at both Shoe Show and Shoe Carnival...anywhere that they sell alot of skechers.

I am one of these shoe "snobs" that think they have to pay alot of money for a good pair.

Well, these shoes proved me wrong.

Thank you Hopefull2009, I will look for them at Shoe Carnival today.

I have to share this! I have finally conquered my foot and ankle problem! I broke my ankle a little over a year ago and suffered so much with working 13+ hours.

I've tried Brooks, Danskos, Sanitas, Crocs, New Balance, and a few of the cheaper ones.

I am currently wearing these ecco shoes with orthotics by the walking company. I have not had one once of foot or ankle pain. My legs aren't even tired anymore!

When you get the orthotics, be sure to stand on the Sole-R system. It shows you in red where the most pressure is being placed on your foot. From there, you can choose an orthotic.

You can get the ecco's anywhere (total comfort, the walking company, etc.), but stay with the walking company for the orthotic. I believe they are the only ones who carry the Lynco brand.

I am so happy with my find. I've been wearing them for a little over 2 weeks now.

Danibanani, thank you for sharing!
