Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows what the hours are like for the MDE program. Do you ever have classes at night or on the weekends? What about clinicals as well? Also, do you know of any single mothers that completed the program or people who have families?

Hi, I'm in the MDE program right now. We have class/clinicals Monday-Friday, nothing on the weekends. Classes are typically from 8 am-4 or 5 pm (ish) and clinicals are around 7 am-3:30 pm depending on your clinical instructor. We have simulations in the evenings until 7 pm a few times a semester. And there are often review sessions for exams later in the evenings. Once you have integration at the end of the program you can have any schedule including nights or weekends because you follow a nurse's schedule. There are lots of people in the program right now with kids and families
Wow, Thank you So much for this information. I am applying to enter next summer. Which program are you in? Just MDE or are you doing a DNP program after as well? How is NY life? I live in FL. Any advice you would like to offer?
I'm doing the Psych DNP after the MDE! I will be starting the DNP in September of next year. New York life is hard to explain unless you come here yourself, but it is very very busy and different from living anywhere else, especially if you aren't from a big city. You can private message me if you want!

Hey! I'm also applying for CUSON to enter next summer. Did you already submit your application? I was just looking to do the MDE but now I really want to consider doing a DNP. I had already submitted my application, therefore I feel like it's too late. Are you looking at DNP as well?
HI! I'm just applying for the MDE portion currently. I do want to do the DNP portion, but I may change my mind on the program type so I'll just wait.
Okay we have a similar point of view! I have a friend of mine who is currently in the MDE/DNP (Family Adult NP) program. He said students still have a chance to apply to the DNP during the Spring semester. So I guess we aren't missing out on anything. Do yo have any programs narrowed down or you just have absolutely NO idea. I'm going to the Open House session today just to get a bit more information. Did you apply to any other schools? I was looking at UF accelerated program.

Hi All, can you please let me know was the GRE required, if you want to apply ONLY to the MDE program? Seems like an amazing program from what I am reading, since it is very costly, are they as selective, and still very competitive??

Hey do you know if there were students who managed to work part time during the program, especially during the first summer term. I’m considering working during the weekend. My weekend job is pretty easy which allows me to pretty much study the whole day.
