Columbia State Community College Fall 2019

Has anyone applied to this program and start date! The director stated that letters would go out the first week of April. I like to play the game of evaluating my odds of getting in so I’m curious what scores others had. I had 19 pts. I’m applying to Marian’s program as well. Their application is due in June for the Fall 2019 class. I did a site visit and they have a really nice simulation at St. Thomas west. Good luck everyone!

Hi! Good luck to all of you that have just started for the Fall 2019 cohort! I have a quick question to those that have applied... how did you indicate which campus you preferred? I don't see that information on the application. Also, did you include a cover letter or anything of that nature?

I wasn’t able to put down a choice of location, but did get in the campus of preference. I assumed the school looked at our cities and distance from the school. Don’t take our word for it though, email or call the nursing program. They provide great customer service to prospective and current students. I get the vibe that they understand the challenges of students and want it to work for them.

Has anyone successfully transferred credits from Motlow to Columbia?

Nursing credits or gen ed credits? I would think most gen ed credits would transfer but you can always email admissions to ask.

General credits. I just got officially accepted (just to the school not the nursing program) for the spring and when I logged in and looked at my student account it only showed old AP credits.

I’m not sure why but my credits didn’t automatically transfer either. I am going to have to call them to find out what’s going on. I just got accepted as well so I’m going to give them some time but I plan on calling next week.

Also, if your transcripts are in a different name (if you have gotten married) that can hold things up. I’ve had that problem with Columbia state when I took a prereq.

Did you apply for the spring nursing program?

I applied for spring 2020. Fingers crossed for both of us!

I plan to call tomorrow so I will report back. I know that they received all of my transcripts several months ago, but they were just holding off on official acceptance.

I did apply to the spring! I am hopeful! Do you know how many points you have?

Hi everyone! Just got my acceptance today. I know it's still early, but I was wondering if you guys who have already started could give me some info and feedback on what it is like, what to expect, etc.
