Okay, I really want to go to Columbia, starting in 2010. Like, planning to get down on my knees and grovel to whoever out there listens to desperate potential nursing students. The trouble is, based on my schedule, I can't start my prerequisites until this summer, meaning I won't finish them until the end of spring semester 2010. My spring semester ends on June 4, 2010...
...Columbia's accelerated BSN program starts June 2, 2010.
So what do I do? Is there anything I can do? Or am I going to be forced to look at schools that solely start in the fall?

Call their admissions office and ask their opinion. Either that or resign yourself to having a semester off.

Try finding another college in your area where the spring semester ends in May.
Does anyone know who the right person to call about that would be? Because I'm not actually sure.
And I'd love to go to a different college, but I live out in the boonies. There aren't any other colleges within a reasonable commute.
There should be a contact # on their website. I would just call the general information # for the nursing department, they should be able to help or direct your call.
That sucks there are no other schools nearby :/

You might be able to speak with your professors and finish your pre-req classes a week or two early. I have been in lots of classes where several people took their finals early because they were starting another program right away.
I was very interested in Columbia's program, so I have spoken with them quite a bit. I'm fairly certain that they will not let you start later, which means that you will need to finish sooner. They will, however, probably let your official transcripts arrive a little later. Why don't you call Jose in admissions at Columbia and just ask him. He is very accessible.
I didn't even think of trying to finish my prereqs a week early. I'll have to try that. And thanks for the name of the guy in admissions. I'll give him a call.
