Columbia, SC area nursing programs

Published

Hi guys,

I posted another thread about wanted to get into nursing programs, and not exactly having the greatest stats to do so. I won't bother to go into my whole story again, so just for a recap:

Just graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from Ohio State University.

3.33 GPA

Science prereqs As and Bs.

Been desperately applying to PCA positions with no luck (I want to work with kids, so I'm trying for children's hospitals). If I don't get it, I'm going to work in a nursing home. Point being, I will have some PCA experience.

I am looking for ANY nursing programs. I originally wanted to do a direct entry NP program, but I'm expanding my options. I know I can always go back to be an NP later. So I'm talking direct entry, accelerated BSN, second degree, and ADN programs. Anything.

This post is specifically about the area of Columbia, SC. I am not limiting my only options here, but my boyfriend was just placed here and I would love to join him if possible. Any insight is much appreciated!!!

Thanks :)

Lol Fort Jackson? Sorry.

Well University of South Carolina is right there....

Lol what?

You said your boyfriend was placed there. By placed I assumed you meant assigned. There is a large Army base nearby called Fort Jackson that is usually not a sought after post.

Nope, placed for work. That's my bad, sorry!
