Columbia Presbyterian Parking

Published

Hi All,

I've read these posts for years, but I've finally registered because I have a question to ask and I couldn't seem to find the answer in searching previous posts.

I'll be doing an NP student clinical rotation at Columbia Presbyterian soon and need to find an affordable place to park for about 13 hours, 2 days per week, for 3 months. A colleague who used to work there told me that Columbia nurses used to get discounted parking. (She left about 10 years ago though!) I've only ever used Columbia's main lot on 164th and Fort Washington for a few hours. At full price, it's too expensive to use for a full shift ($34+/day).

Any suggestions as to where I could locate discounted parking? Do you think they'd give a student the discount? Is it a sticker book system that I could buy discounted parking from a full-time employee?

Oh, and since I know it will come up....I don't have access to public transportation from where I live that would keep the commute under 2 hours!

I appreciate your help!

Thanks

Nurses do get a discounted rate but I don't think students do. And for any of the lots, you either red to swipe an ID card or have a parking permit. You're better off looking for deals at other garages in the general area.

Yeah I'm there now as a student, no discounted rates, $35 a day. So annoying. Sometimes I can find street parking which is always nice but I also worry my car will get broken into all day ha
