Colon Cancer Stage 3

Published

Hi my husband is 49 and just finished 6months of chemo for stage T3 N2 MX colon cancer.

can someone please explain the MX to me, i have looked up the staging info on many big websites, but still it is unclear, I know the M stands for mestastic but the X seems soo vague.

thanks so much,

I wonder if they are using X to mean 0, which would mean no metastatic disease. Is this true for your husband?

It probably means 0 just like ga girl said. However, I highly suggest talking to his hcp to make sure you understand the extent of his condition.

Hello,

The X means the information at the time of the staging was not available. You can check out the ACS website for more information on staging.

Thanks it was helpful. but I still wonder exactly what the X means. Is it a code one of those vague codes, cuz they dont know, that is my fear.

Not enough info does not make sense when the docs went in and did the surgery and all the blood tests, and CT's....you can probably understand my angle by now.

it is just way too scary!

best wishes
