Anyone applying to the spring 2017 ADN program

What did you score on the psb?

I see I retook some of my prereqs in order to have As in all of them so I wonder if that affected me! I guess we don't know how many points get in unless you have a 43/43 lol

My old score translated to a 12/17 on the new scale.

Did anyone receive a letter yet for the Medic bridge program?

Had 36 points..transferring from another nursing program. Also, work in a hospital (a Collin clinical site) for two years as a PCT. letter of recommendation from the Director of the Med Surg and I couldn't even get wait listed. Lol

I feel you I had 36 points also and got rejected!! :(

All may not be lost...I work with a girl who just graduated and she told me she wasn't wait listed but they ended up calling her for a spot. I wouldn't hold my breath though.

Collin keeps changing their selection criteria every year. Makes it very frustrating when you take courses according to their criteria and they change it. I've seen it change numerous times.

Changes ive seen..

Need Statistics/ not anymore

Extra points for honor classes/not anymore

PSB score out of 6/not anymore

Extra point for being a Collin resident/not anymore

I have wasted time and money trying to stay ahead of their changes, but alas I don't even get wait listed.

Also, it's appears they don't even look at points...I guess it will remain a mystery. Also, They shouldn't care if you repeated a course not...if they do hold that against you then they should take points off for it. Shouldn't be some secret factor that's decided behind closed doors. Their selection process should be transparent. I know how many points I SHOULD have but is that they same they have for me? Would be helpful if they included that info on the letter along with the cut-off score.

Congrats :)

do you mind sharing your stats/scores! It would help me lots once I reapply knowing what I need!

I agree!! I also spent few years taking my prereqs to keep up with the changes! I also wonder if they had the same points for me as I thought I did! I even checked again the point sheet to see if I had any less points í ½í¸–

I believe I had 40/43. I missed a point for not being a veteran (they deserve that point). Also, I got 2 B's in two of the co-req classes (psych/english). I did get 17/17 on the PSB.
