hey, so the PAX was changed to the NEX. I started studying using a PAX prep book in June and then bought the online NLN prep in September and started studying every day. I thought more of the practice questions would be on the exam but only 4-5 were. I studied about 100 vocab words and only one showed up. The math was easy and science wasn't bad. I found verbal to be the hardest section, specifically the word knowledge. I did find the test difficult and walked out thinking I did terrible, I was relieved seeing I scored 84th percentile thank god. If you don't mind me asking what did you receive on the PAX (comp score and percentile) when you took it?
I got a 111, seriously I don't know how their grading works.
So almost everything you studied didn't come out on the actual test?
the math was challenging for me
since math was easy for you, how do you suggest I study for the math.
I have the Pax book from last year and I also purchased the prep material from the website.
So the New NLN-NEX exam is graded out of 300 now not 200 like the PAX. My advice is use the online NLN NEX prep the NLN website has and answer those questions before studying, and study the subjects you got wrong. The math part of the prep prepared me 100%. The verbal and science not so much. Althought, I would still buy the bundle because it did help a bit. I know a lot of people purchased the red NLN PAX book and said it helped them, I didn't get that one. Did you take BIO 150?
Yes I took Bio 150 already what about you
I have the red book also but that's a lot of information to take in LOL
I will stick to the website like you suggested
Did a lot of math questions from the website came out on the actual exam ? Do you remember what kind of math questions came out and do you remember what reading comprehension came out on the verbal, like last time I saw the one about cancer, benefit of coffee and tea taking

hey guys, I'm applying to the College of Staten Island Nursing AAS program for the Spring 2025 semester. I already submitted my application and my NLN-NEX scores. I took the NLN the same day the applications opened. I scored the 84th Percentile (COMP 245/300) first try. Anyone in the CSI CUNY nursing program at CSI RN..any tips and if you got in what was your NLN score, GPA (pre-req AND overall)? thank you!!
