College of Staten Island (CSI) CUNY - How is the nursing program?

Hello! I am currently a freshman at Binghamton University planning to transfer (Due to covid and financial reasons) into CSI for next semester for Spring 2021 and I am interested in their nursing program. I was thinking of Hunter or city tech but I heard Hunter is really competitive and city tech has a messy nursing program. So I was wondering how are the professors/ classes at csi? How supportive is the nursing program department?

Hi there,

CSI is VERY competitive . I am trying for Spring 2021 too. You need to have a very good GPA and a good score from NLN PAX RN.
If you are looking for Supportive Professors you better go to WAGNER, which again is costly.

@BUU Hey, I saw your comment that you’re applying for Spring 2021, so am I as well.. I’m wondering what you got on the NLN if you do not mind me asking. I’m a little nervous that they aren’t accepting a lot of people due to COVID.

Hi Emily, I know last semester they accepted only around 30 students compared to their usual 70-80 . I got a 125 for NLN and my GPA is 3.9. How about you?

I got a 133 with a GPA of 3.5. I heard that too, and my advisor also said they might be doing the same thing due to COVID right now so I am a little nervous. Hopefully it all works out for us ?
