College of the Sequoias (COS) - Spring 2026

Hello all, I wanted to created this group for those that are applying to the COS nursing program for Spring 2026. I will be applying with about 78 points. Hope for the best for everyone applying!

Have you guys received your uniform? If not does anybody know when we will ?

Does anyone know how we're supposed to find out what time they want us in the skills lab for the first week? Do we have it first week? If so when will they tell us the time or is there somewhere on canvas? I haven't seen an announcement for skills lab.

I got my scrubs last week. I decided to not get the tote bag cuz I already have the majority of the stuff. I think the tote bag included some first aid stuff and a stethoscope (I talked with the staff like a month ago, and they said that no one really buys them)

Sorry my phone was acting up and posted like that. But no I didn't get the tote cuz I think there's no point for me. I already have a blood pressure and stethoscope anyways, so there's no need for me.

I haven't received my uniform either and I was wondering if we needed the skills nurse tote bag ?I didn't see them saying anything about it unless I missed it.

Hopefully we receive our uniforms soon! I was also wondering if it's required since they didn't mention it during the orientation (I think) but in the orientation packet in the estimated expenses section it has an asterisk which I'm assuming means it's required? Also when I met with the nursing counselor she told me to make sure I buy the tote from the COS bookstore.

All I have is a stethoscope do you think I should get it? It's pretty pricey so I don't want to buy it and not use any of the stuff

Has anyone bought their textbooks already? Or has anyone signed up for the MyLab and Mastering?

To confirm we only have skills for Nurse 121 not 124? 
 

Also the readings that they are referring to to be done before class on Monday... are those books accessible through the person access or are those from physics books that we need?
