College of San Mateo Fall 2018 nursing program

Published

Hi! I noticed there wasn't a discussion for next fall, so I'm just wondering who else made it to the top 90!

Wow! That is great! No wonder you got picked. =) I also applied to CCSF, but I heard someone received a letter in the mail yesterday too. I plan to get some volunteer hours and will try to apply again next round!

Aw, yeah definitely rack up some volunteer hours! Those help a bunch. I know CCSF's application comes out again for Spring '19!

Thank you for the advice! I think I might try to get my CNA as well.

Sammi,

Not yet, I wanted to stay local and CSM is my first choice. I will be applying to City College of San Francisco in August as well as MJC in a couple months even though MJC is pretty far... Can I ask where you received your CNA training? I have been looking for CNA programs but most of them clash with my work schedule (Mon-Fri 9-5). I know CNA is a great place to start in the nursing world, I just can't take the time off to get my cert.

That is if you don't get into CSM??

I actually did mine at NCNA (Northern California Nursing Academy) in Daly City! I did the Saturday & Sunday class and it was about 3 months.

Hey guys,

I just got accepted also in the top 90. How did you guys do on the TEAS?

Specializes in Primary Care.

I got a 76 on my TEAS. Still waiting to hear back for second year acceptance or denial.

I got an 80. I thought I would have done better but it was pretty hard. I hope we get into the program!

I applied as well got in at the top 90 and got an 85 on the teas. They said they will be letting the ones who applied for the RN know by beginning of May if they got in or not.

Do you guys know if the ADN program and the LVN-RN program are part of the same "top 90"? or are they two separate ones?

I believe its the same top 90.

I haven't received anything? Will all applicants receive either denial or an acceptance? waiting list?
