College of Marin or CCSF

Published

Has anyone any experience / feedback about College of Marin and the RN program. That is my #1 choice, since I live near the campus.

I am also checking out CCSF as a backup, so feedback for that would be appreciated as well.

Hey, I didn't go to either school but CCSF has a great reputation. They're very organized and their students are great at clinical skills. I graduated from SFSU's accelerated entry-level MSN program, and seriously considered transferring to CCSF because of the major disorganization at SFSU. I ended up staying at SFSU because I wanted the Master's degree, but I met with the staff at CCSF, who gave me a tour of their labs and nursing office, and they were very nice.

I haven't heard anything about College of Marin. You could always check each school's NCLEX pass rate on the BON site if you have trouble deciding. I would choose the school closer to home because nursing school is VERY tiring, so being close to home is an advantage in that you don't have to commute when you're so exhausted.

Good luck!
