College of the Mainland. Spring 2018 ADN

Published

Hello everyone,

I just submitted my application last

week for the Spring 2018 ADN program at college of the mainland. I'm so nervous, my overall point is 840. I can't wait to get accepted, I just pray they don't make mistakes. If you are also applying please comment, you can comment about your points too.

Those in the nursing program already, please how is the program like? I'm so nervous. I heard the lowest they accepted for last semester was 760, I hope it is lower this time around. I called the school and I was told that they have a lot of applicants.

Where can I find cheap apartment close to the school. I wanna start searching for an apartment in texas city.

I am so Happy that I got accepted but I kinda feel down because my sister didn't get accepted, her score was 751 How would someone know they are on the alternative list? does anyone know what the cut off Mark was? guess so many applicants got high scores this time around.

On web advisor it would say she was selected for the alternative list or something like that.

The scores are definitely becoming more competitive! Usually the advisors can tell you what the cut off score was.

The advisors should be able to tell you what the lowest score was they accepted.

Last semester was a 760 so I'm assuming might be around the same

I was accepted. Congrats to everyone that got in. And for those that did not; don't give up. When you are passionate about something continue to show it through your determination and your time will come.

I didn't get in. I was eligible but not accepted congrats to everyone that got in.

Im so late to this thread I also got accepted and hope to meet all of you at the orientation date

have you tried applying for the LVN program. what do you think?

Does anyone have an idea of affordable apartments close to school. For those that didn't get in, stay strong and don't give up. Everything happens for a reason.

I don't live in Texas city but I am in district of college of the mainland. I'm attending there currently for some pre reqs. I'm not sure of apartment complexes especially those that didn't get water. I know there are like 3 different ones right next to the college though. Not sure on price or ratings. They do have some really nice new ones behind Buccees on 45.

@maryebele29 No, I have not tried . I'm not going to apply for the lvn. I'm just going to keep pushing forward and and try again. I'm going to keep working towards my bachelor of science degree in Health and Behavioral science with a concentration in aging and wellness. And get a teacher certificate to become a teacher. If all else fails.

@grammy2017 I say go for both. I did the exact same thing as you. Bachelor in health science and got my certifications. You can't go wrong. I was denied by one nursing school and got in another. Keep pushing !!!
