College of the Mainland. Spring 2018 ADN

Published

Hello everyone,

I just submitted my application last

week for the Spring 2018 ADN program at college of the mainland. I'm so nervous, my overall point is 840. I can't wait to get accepted, I just pray they don't make mistakes. If you are also applying please comment, you can comment about your points too.

Those in the nursing program already, please how is the program like? I'm so nervous. I heard the lowest they accepted for last semester was 760, I hope it is lower this time around. I called the school and I was told that they have a lot of applicants.

Where can I find cheap apartment close to the school. I wanna start searching for an apartment in texas city.

How are y'all configuring these scores? I am Interested in applying for spring 2019? Just curious and a little confused lol

Call the nursing department. They ll explain it better. I think they made some changes this time.

For the current students, please how is the schedule? I am applying for Fall 2018. I want to know so that I can plan my work schedule to fit. Thanks

Hello everyone! Hope studies are going well. Is anyone here in the part time ADN track? Would like to get some feedback if possible and know how many times a week do you attend lecture and clinicals? Hoping to apply for Spring 2019 part time program. Thank you in advance for any answers!

Can someone tell me about the point system they use?

I thought I would attempt to answer your question as it doesn't appear that any part time students are on this forum or if they are, maybe they signed a confidentiality agreement LOL. I am not a part time student in the ADN program yet, but hope to be in the future. I am the sole income provider in my home and will have to work full time at my 1st career while attending. I start on the pre-reqs this semester.

Based on the part time prelicensure fact sheet:

https://build.com.edu/uploads/sitecontent/files/nursing/ZMay_Part-Time_ADN_Pre-Licensure_Fact_Sheet_Revised.pdf

and a search of the schedule for the upcoming Fall semester:

https://webadvisor.com.edu/WebAdvisor/WebAdvisor?TOKENIDX=3197563473&SS=3&APP=ST&CONSTITUENCY=WBST

It appears that the following are true for this semester at least:

1 - Online or On Campus - Lifespan (unless you've taken it as part of your pre-requisites

2 hours once per week for Lecture

1 time per week for clinical but the hours aren't listed.

What I would like to know from a full time or part time student is how long the clinicals are? 2, 4, 8 hours? Do they offer any on the weekends or evenings?

Hello, I would like to know how the process went for you! I will be applying for fall 2019 to both programs adn and lvn. And would like an insight on how things have gone for you

Hello, did anyone apply for the Spring 2019 part time program?

Does anyone know how many students are accepted? My score was 431 out of 480. Hoping I get in :)

How did you calculate your score?

Hey! So the way you calculate your score is by calculating your gpa in the following pre reqs, psychology, English, micro, anatomy I and Anatomy II. My gpa for those classes was 3.61so that gave me 361 points. Plus you add more points based on the grades you received in Micro and Anatomy I and Anatomy II. I received 2As in those classes and a B. For an A, you get an additional 20 points, B 15 points. So I added 361+20(for Anatomy I), 20 (for Anatomy II) and 15 (for Micro). That gives me a total of 416. Plus I have a Bachhelors. If you have a Bachelors you receive 15 points, Masters 20, other certifications 10. So since I have a bachelors my score went from 416+15. Equaling 431 points. Hope this helps!

Yes it did! Thanks

Hello. I did apply for part-time adn and my score was 401. Today is the deadline so I guess it's a waiting game from now. I heard the only admit 20 students for the part-time. Goodluck to all applicants.
