College of the mainland (COM) Fall 2016

Hello everyone, I'm just making a thread for everyone that is applying for this upcoming semester. I applied last for the spring but didn't get in d/t a clerical error so make sure if you guys are applying to double and triple check they have all of your information in the system. Good luck to all of you!!!

Let's just say this school really needs to get their crap together!. I went today and met with Moody...

Turns out I did not get accepted due to a class that wasn't placed in their system. I was told that I was a very strong candidate and more than likely would of been accepted. Unfortunately they already selected (60). He stated I can have a seat on hold for spring if I choose to apply. It makes me very upset because I went personally up there all the time to assure that they had my classes. Good luck to everyone!

I'm really sorry to hear that. Did he even admit that he made a mistake? He was the one that was supposed to confirm all of that in the first place.. Did you apply elsewhere though?

No he tried to pretend like he had nothing to do with it. Unfortunately this was the only program that I applied for the Fall. I will be applying to others in spring.

Don't sweat it honestly, just keep taking classes towards the bachelor's. That's what I did. It just wasn't meant to be right now but your going to get into a program. And when you do you'll be THAT much more prepared.

Thank you! I'm almost done completely with all my classes only need Stats and college algebra. That's what I'm going to be focusing on. Thanks for the words of encouragement!

Same thing happened to me when I applied last semester. Admissions changed the name of my microbiology class to something else so when nursing was reviewing my application de automatically denied me because they didn't that I had taken microbiology already. I was pissed off!! I definitely know what you are going through.

alright guys the decision has been made..i didn't get in this time! good luck! and let me know what the 'good' point range was if you guys find out :) look on your web advisor and do that submit thing on the application.

Sorry to hear that. My webadvisor still says it's being ranked.. Not really sure what that means in my case but I guess I'll see.

My Web advisor says that is still in the process of being ranked too so idk. I got the email through my com email.

Okay I checked the COM email. It's not a denial. I got an invite but there are no other instructions attached to it so I'm gonna have to call tomorrow
