College of the Canyons Fall 2018

Hi, I just wanted to start this topic to see if anyone else has applied to the COC Nursing Program for Fall 2018? I would like to meet people and chat about the process.

Buy a study book and a highlighter, go over it all once, then go over everything that gave you a hard time. That's what I did. I'd start ASAP; I believe the teas applicants were invited for it and it's coming up.

Yes I took it and got a 70% :( not the score I was hoping for....i highly suggest while taking practice tests to really time yourself. I had to guess on the last couple questions for the reading portion when I realized I was going to run out of time :/ the material is not hard, just study the ati manual and watch a bunch of YouTube videos for the science portion! Khan academy really helped for math & science as well.

You know what, at least you passed! I don't think it's a bad score, but I know what you mean, we are all hard on ourselves in some way or another..

I will be taking the TEAS on Friday. What was the Math section like? What kind of questions can i expect? Did you do the online ATI practice test and did that help? is the online ATI practice similar to the actual test? What questions are expected on the Science section? If you finish a section with extra time are you able to go back and check your answers? Do you get your results immediately?

At the TEAS they said they would be sending emails out from the 17th - 30th. I'm going to be checking my email 50x day for the next 2 weeks:) I'm guessing the LVN_RN people will find out first since their orientation is a week before the ADN Program.

Yes, I'm waiting to hear for LVN-RN. We are supposed to know between 17th -20th. So anxious! í ¾í´—
