College of the Canyons Fall 2018

Hi, I just wanted to start this topic to see if anyone else has applied to the COC Nursing Program for Fall 2018? I would like to meet people and chat about the process.

I'm hoping I get invited to take it at coc, I haven't taken it yet...I heard that it focuses more on anatomy and physiology, have you taken it?

I will take mine on Feb 23rd. I have been studying but I hate math. I have so much anxiety for the math portion.

The math portion is pretty basic and easy, I wouldn't stress at all. I was stressed too and I was surprised at how easy it was!

How detailed is the chemistry portion? And is the timing an issue?

I got pretty lucky and only had around 5 questions for chem, but I would study acid/base, balancing equations, oxidation/reduction, photosynthesis reaction, atomic mass, protons, neutrons, electrons, valence electrons, covalent bonds, ionic bonds :)

I have been a LVN for a REALLY long time lol.. almost 20 yrs. How about you? Where are you taking the TEAS?

Wow!!! That is a long time! I've been an LVN for almost 5 years now ...I'll be taking it at CSULA! Do you live here in LA?
