Cochran school of nursing

Hiii I did not make into westchester community college program and will be taking the entrance exam for the cochran shool of nursing in August ! They used to offerer the teas but are now offering the kaplan ! Anyone has taken the test !? I was wondering what kind if score they look for ! Thank u !

I took the test in early May. The test wasn't too bad. It was on the computer and you were allowed to use a calculator for the math part on the computer. The test is timed. J believe each section is about 30 minutes long and there are about 4-5 sections. There's math, science, reading, language/definitions. Personally I would make sure I go over some of the functions of anatomy and maybe brush up on some vocabulary. I purchased the Kaplan pre entrance exam book to help me prepare and it did help a bit. Has anyone gotten accepted to Cochran School with low Kaplan scores? I have all pre reqs for evening class but did awful on the test today. Trying to do the evening spring 15

Im in te same boat I didn't do well on the test I got a 67 ! She said maybe they will let me retake it in 6 months if I don't get in !

Yes I was angry since the Kaplan study book was a waste of money. I'm buying a grammer book and brushing up on my science since I remember the questions. If I get in with my score it would be a miracle!

Yep the Keplan book didn't cover most of the science part in my opinion! I spent days memorizing glands, hormones and all the details on all systems ! The writting and science were my lowest scores writting sucked ! Good luck i hope u Get in and if we dont next time we take ir we have a better ideia of the format ans know what to Study! I got accepted with a 70, so hopefully you guys still have a chance. I think they are focusing more on GPA rather than exam. The Kaplan book doesn't prepare you at all for the science part and I think they are aware of that. Let me know if any of you get in, I will be in the evening Spring class. Good Luck!
