  1. my gpa is 3.8, they look for all completed pre reqs good GPA and passing grade on the entrance exam.
  2. Yay, congrats...l'm sure we'll get to know each other at some point. Good luck with everything!!!
  3. Yay congrats, will you be evening or day? I am very nervous and excited also :-)
  4. Yes that is correct, you have to have all prerequisites completed, by the time they start processing no more than one can be outstanding. They are very strict on that. As long as all your ducks are in order it's not that difficult to get in.
  5. I actually spoke to a friend today that attended spson last semester, she withdrew and had nothing good to say. She said the school is very disorganized, the instructors are rude, and that you are basically on your own. She is currently at bmcc working towards getting onto their program.
  6. It's two days Hospital Orientation then two weeks orientation in the department you will be working for.
  7. I start my first semester at Cochran School of Nursing in January, any current students have any advice for me? Is anyone else starting spring 2015 as well?
  8. I got accepted with a 70, so hopefully you guys still have a chance. I think they are focusing more on GPA rather than exam. The Kaplan book doesn't prepare you at all for the science part and I think they are aware of that. Let me know if any of you get in, I will be in the evening Spring class. Good Luck!
  9. it's still passing and it's not far from 70, I am sure you will get in, think positive!!! Keep me posted.
  10. You know right away if you pass, the application committee needs to review everything, it's takes a few weeks for a decision. Good Luck!!! Let me know how it goes, we will exchange info once you get in!!!
  11. Hi, I scored a 70, it wasn't great but enough to get in. I think they want 70 and above. Know how to do math conversions, operations, ratios, & word problems. The kaplan book is pretty good for that and you can buy math for dummies. The test has a built in calculator so don't worry much about it, as long as you know how to do math you will be fine, I scored the highest on math and it's not my strongest subject at all. As for the science you only need physiology, no questions on anatomy or anything else, study the systems. Reading portion it is what it is, either you know how to read and analyze to answer questions or you don't. I scored ok considering I didn't practice for that at all. I focused only on the math and science. Also they look at overall, not just that so as long as your GPA is good you will be fine. Are you applying for day or evening?
  12. Hi, I am starting Cochran for their evening program Spring 2015. Anyone else accepted for 2015, or does anyone have any advise for my first semester???
