That's weird...my nursing program (Pitt Community College, Greenville, NC) didn't require CNA before entering the program. We actually got it after first semester (all we had to do was take the test).
Anyway...
Have you checked the CNA classes offered from Wake Tech, Durham Tech, Vance-Granville? They may have some offered. Also check the NC Board of Nursing website (http://www.ncbon.com) and they may be able to tell you.
yeah, they are changing all of the colleges requirements. Almost all the schools now are requiring you to be a CNA before you can get accepted into the Nursing Program.
So far I havent had any luck with finidng a program for CNA training on the weekend, most of them are only offered when I have my regular classes. But thank you for the info

Hello,
I am a Pre-Nur student at Wake Tech. I am required to get my CNA before July 1st 2009 to be able to get accepted into the Nursing Program. My problem is is that I am a full time student and I have to remain a full time student to be able to stay on insurance so it will be hard if I took CNA classes during the week. So, I was wondering if anyone could tell me where I might be able to take CNA weekend classes in the Raleigh/Durham area.
Thanks so much!
