Hi there-
I know that in my area, a lot of the LTC facilities I looked at mainly offered class reimbursement if you worked for them for a certain amount of time. There are not as many places that offer the training, but there are some- you just have to look carefully. If you go onto your state website and find the nursing section, there is usually a link you can click that gives you a list of approved training programs. They list Red Cross, private educational places (what I ended up doing), and nursing homes that offer the training if you work with them. Since I don't know where you live I really don't know what else to say, but I hope that helps! Good Luck!!:redbeathe
**I think most people in my class want to work in a hospital setting as well, and although it's more difficult, you may as well take a class and just apply to hospitals while you're in class rather than ''bind'' yourself to any specific place. But that's just one way- again, good luck!**
Thank you so much, for your advise I must say I am now employed with a nursing home and they are offering me training while I work for them. There was no mention of me having to pay anything back for this training, however they did mention tuition reimbursement for people who want to go further now they are bounded for a year.
So for the time I will try and learn as much as I can since I am studying to get into the LPN program.
Thank you so much.
