So I just started community college and majoring in nursing, I was wondering should I have got my CNA before starting nursing school ?

I have heard that many places want nurses who been CNAs first. A lot of my nursing-student friends and I are using our CNA to work our way through nursing school. I would recommend getting your CNA through adult ed and working as a CNA while you're in school.
Thank you

You don't normally have to take a CNA class if you're in nursing school. Many states will wave CNA class requirements for RN students who have finished their first semester, as most CNA skills are mastered during the first RN semester. Ask your instructors or look at your state requirements for CNA registration.
