Hello everyone. I have been accepted into a LPN program which will start August 2014 and conclude June 2015. I am very excited to get started in my career. I am an aspiring Nurse Practitioner with the hope to work in the OBGYN department and also receive a Nurse Midwife certificate. Right now I feel really nervous on what to anticipate with the program. We are currently taking an eight week anatomy and physiology course. I am starting off with great grades which I hope to maintain throughout nursing school. I would love any tips on studying and the Do's and Don'ts of nursing school.

WOW I just wanted to say we have exactly the same goals. I think it's neat seeing people that are going down the same path as I am. I also want to be a NP for OBGYN and get my midwifery certificate. I would also like to see what people post on some study tips. Good luck to you!!

Time management. I am starting my LPN program in Sept. My aunt started as a LPN as well, then got her RN, then BSN, and is now working on her NP. We can do it! When I ask her what will help me....she said "time management and be willing to lose a few friends that will not understand". Best Wishes!
