At my hospital the CRNAs I have spoken to say they make around $150,000 and most of them work flex shifts.

and CNAs average about 15% of this. just an incentive to stay in school if the resources allows.

I'm from Long Island and I have friends that are CNA's there. I know they start at $18.70 an hour in some places. It should be fairly close to that in NYC, if not more.

Out of the boroughs, I'm talking about Suffolk County NY. :)

Hope this helps!

I'm not far from long island as i live on the borderline of queens by teh belt pkway. What hospitals do your friends work in? I am willing to travel for good pay;)

I am a CNA at LISVH in Stony Brook and I make $14.40 per hour and you are resp for 10 residents. This includes full benefits and its union. Im looking for another CNA job that pays a bit more thats closer to home but haven had much luck. Ive heard people say in these forums that CNAs on LI can make up to $18-$20 an hour... but unfortunately they dont mention where.
