CNA Programs, Northern/central MI

Published

I am a current EMT/Combat Medic and am trying to get into a CNA program in north or central MIchigan. I have been unable to locate any. My Goal is to complete CNA so I can try to have a decent job in the field while I continue with LPN and Paramedic. If anyone can help i would very much appreciate it, Thank you. Shaw, Steven

Hi- where are you in Mich? I am also in michigan, I would suggest checking the nursing homes, they may offer the class. Kirtland community college offers the class also.

I'm in hillman, near Alpena. I'm trying to avoid Kirtland because they screwed me REAL bad a while ago, and ACC in alpena just sucks all the way around. Do they actually offer it IN the nursing homes or thru the nursing homes?

I am in the Tawas area and some of the nursing homes offer classes, check with the one's in your area and see, you might be lucky. Good luck

Also try contacting your local Red Cross chapter. They were great help when I needed to try and get certified. Many nursing homes also offer the classes and certifications too. If you can't find the local chapter of the Red Cross try calling the Detroit location on Mack Ave they should be able to help too.
