CNA pay

Nursing Students CNA/MA

I am gathering data and know that this question gets posted alot...but here goes. Can you tell me what CNA's make where you work and also post where you live and in the type of facility that you work in. Thanks for the information. I posted this in the region I live in and haven't received any replies, so I thought that I would open it up to include more areas than just NE Arkansas. All information is much appreciated.

I appreciate all of the information. I moved from Georgia ( my previous school offers a CNA certification course that is covered with a Pell Grant) to Arkansas they offer a 4 week CNA course, but I would have to pay out of state tuition which would cost me around $1000.00. So I am going to ask around all of the LTC's to see if they will me and give me a job. I think that if I show them my school work from the past year that it may convince them (3.78 on pre-req's for the LPN program). What do you guys I recommend I put in a cover letter? I don't want to sound like a pompous butt, but I am proud of my academic achievements. Any advice is GREATLY appreciated!

New CNA, became certified in March and now have 90 days at my LTCF in central Ohio. 9.00/hour, .50 cent shift differential for evening/night shifts, I always work 7 PM-7AM so I make 9.50/hour. I have decided that I don't work for a paycheck, but rather to bless those that I care for and work with....As soon as you decide to work for money, it is never enough....

Blessings,

Beth
