Hello everyone. I'm a male 18 year old entering college this summer of 2013 to being pre requisite courses to enter the nursing program at a nearby university. I'm also beginning a CNA certification in June.
I just would like to know how hard it is to balance a two day a week hospital position as a CNA and work in classes at the same time.
Any insight or advice helps! Thank you!

Hi. I have a few friends who took pre-med classes ( physics, bio, chem, calc and other classes) while working full time and having a full class load. The ability pretty much depends on you. It depends on your study habits and your ease at learning new material. I an starting an accelerated BSN program in Aug. I plan on working as a CNA while I am in the program. I know how I study but I know how heavy nursing courses are. I plan on only working 2-3 shifts.
Just take your time. If you feel overwhelmed then cut back on your hours. But I see no reason as to why you would not be successful.
Good luck on your journey.
