A few quick questions about attaining a CNA certification..

Nursing Students CNA/MA

Published

Hi everyone. My name is Alice, I'm 20 years old and I'm still at community college finishing up my GE requirements. I want to pursue a career in nursing, but I'd also like to get a head start right now. I was wondering how I would go about getting into a CNA training program. I've been searching on google, but it doesn't specifically help me. :\ I'd appreciate it so much if I could get some information on how I could find a CNA training program (in California), how long the program takes, and about how much the fee/tuition is.

Thank you so much. :)

Alice

I did a google search for California nursing assistant training

and found this ...

Certified Nursing Assistant Programs

Hope that helps.

Hi Alice and congrats on making your first step on becoming a nurse! I live in the lone star state, but I am sure that CNA courses would cost about the same. My class was $1,200 but that included scrubs, texts, gaitbelt, background check, tuition, and the cost of the state exam. My class was 8 weeks T and Thurs from 6 - 10pm in a nursing home through a university.

Hope that helps! Google can be screwy sometimes LOL. I would recommend staying away from online CNA courses because they tend to be a scam. EX. St. Augstines, I can't remember the name right now.
