CNA to LVN

Nursing Students CNA/MA

I am going to be starting a CNA program soon, but had a few questions regarding CNA to an LVN???

-Are there any pre-requisites needed to go for my LVN once I'm a CNA? For example, do I need all the sciences that I once took before? Such as physio, micro, anatomy (etc.) I know all schools are different, but I was just curious because I don't want to have to re-take all these classes again =/

Thank you for your time and input.

At some community colleges you might have to take pre-reqs like the A&P's before you are able to start the program. Some CC's have the sciences included in the program. For example: the first semester you'd take a nursing course along with a&p 1. Second semester you take a couple of nursing courses along with a&p 2.

Private schools is a different story. Many of them include a&p into the program. So in theory, you'd re-take a&p again, but it would probably easy for you if you've had it before.

Thank you Kimberly, that's great help. I hope to already have them included lol. But we'll see!!!!! I will try and look more into it at the school I will be attending later.
