Your difficulty will be in getting admitted to RN school as these programs are very hard to get into and very competitive. Even LVN schools are getting to be more competitive lately. You want to get into an ROP or adult school for LVN school if you can. Better education and less expensive. If you can afford it and don't want to wait, a proprietary school costs a lot and the education may not be as good, but it will do to get through school. Just do well in your CNA class and start plugging away at your prerequisites for nursing school at your local community college while you investigate which programs are available to you. Sooner or later you will reach your goal as long as you work hard and keep at it.

Hi, I decided to take the CNA class redcross is offering, I was wondering is it fairly simple to go up the ladder (CNA to LVN) and then to RN? How long is this going to take and I am in California by the way.
