cna to Lpn

I have been a CNA for 15 yrs. I attended LPN training to 3rd Qtr. then got a 78 on a test that I needed an 80 on. We moved to Ca. There is this RN in Sac who says she can help me Challenge the boards for lpn?? The DSD at my new job(as a cna) said she did that ,but she was a medic in the army. None of my credits from back east transfer to this state. Not even medical terminology. So either I start a whole new lpn program here..all over again for $20,000 or try this challenge!! for $1,200. As a cna $1,200 may as well be $20,000. Someone help. I am so frustrated as a cna. I see so many things I want to do. Things I did as a student already.

If you finished all of your classes, but didn't pass one of the classes, I'd think you'd need to pass the class in order for the school to give you your certificate in order to take the NCLEX. Before I'd spend a year and $20,000 more, I'd seriously reconsider all options of completing what you've earned. I'm REALLY sorry about your situation! Just get in touch with all options, and I'd even contact whatever organizations related to LPN societies/national orgs for LPN schools, etc. to find out the facts. I would do anything possible to get that one test, or class, completed successfully, even if I had to relocate for a quarter. I'd think of it like time in the Army or something, like putting in my dues or something. It'd be worth it. Hope things work out for you like you want.
