I don't know what area you live in, but if your in the Metro-Detroit area. I attend Davenport in Warren. Our program is 3 semesters, starts in the Fall every year. There is also Schoolcraft College, Everest, and Dorsey. Check the Board of Nursing on michigan.gov. I checked ACEN/CCNE for nursing body accreditation. Hope this helps.
Yes ma'am. At Davenport you can take your pre-reqs while in the program, but that will increase your workload. I have taken all the pre-reqs except A&P I and II, and I will have 12 credits this semester, 15 credits for Winter and 12 for Spr/Sum.
If you attend Dorsey or Everest (career/trade schools) they do not require pre-reqs...but if you decide to go for your RN you will have to take the pre-reqs over again as they do not transfer.
I did look into Everest and Dorsey, but like you said you will have to still take the pre-reqs all over. Not just that them school's cost to much. I just went online to look into going to DU, but it don't say anything about what pre-reqs to have. I'll like to try to take some classes before I apply for the Fall 2015.
Thanks a lot for all the helpful information you have been giving. I actually went up to Davenport Warren campus yesterday and talked to someone. They gave me all the information for the LPN Program and took me for a tour of the school. I already took the math and English class, so I'm just about to apply and see what happens.
