CNA on the job training course and employment/ GA

Published

I was wondering if there is anyone in GA or anywhere period that can direct me to where to look for employers who might be offering on the job training for a CNA. I had a family member in Kansas City who was able to get into a program like this. Basically she trained for 6 weeks got certified and had to obligate 6 months to the company. This was all through a nursing home.

Does anyone know of programs like this in Georgia or if not in Georgia, where would I begin to look for places that might be doing this.

Where are you located? I am in Columbus, GA and I am trying to find someone who offers the CNA training in the evenings. I do know Magnolia Manor offers OJB here in Columbus and it is during normal working hours (day shift).

BTW, I am moving to KC this summer is your family member happy with their work? I am trying to figure out what employment I need to be looking for when I get out there. We will be there for a short period of time and then move again. That's when I start the nursing program but until then... I have to find something.

I am in the Atlanta area. KC has a tight market with not much growth. I know it has been hard in GA but the Kansas City area is doesn't have very good growth opportunity.

Hi! I know Wellstar hospital does that and pays you as well but not often. You have to keep checking their web careers often and it is usually at Wellstar Paulding Hospital. God bless...

I've heard that Kennestone (the hospital I was born at ;D) has on the job training, but since I haven't physically checked into it myself, I can't say for sure. It's a tough market in GA, which is why I stayed in Ohio. Good luck to you.

Hi! I need your help guys. I recently got an offer at Wellstar hospital for a ccp position/prn and the pay is 13.25 + 1.50 night shift. I was wondering if the pay is fair since there is no benefit for prn. Thanks for your input.
