Hello I have been a CNA for a few years at a hospital and I decided finally it was time to start my pre-reqs for the LPN program. Im not even looking at the RN program right now because I want to achieve this goal first. I have 2 young kids andc for my husbands job we had to relocate to a new state so we dont have any family or friends here. Im doing my pre-reqs for the LPN program. I am unable to work now because my husband works long hours & random hours. I'm starting off with english and psyc...things Im interested in. I just dont want to give up and Im afraid that having two kids will make things difficult. I want to have my career so when they are in school full time I can work also. When I put my mind to something I usually always accomplish it. Is there anyone willing to be an online study buddy for me and friend....I havent been in school for awhile so I feel like Im starting all over. I have great experience as a cna and I dont see any problems with the Nursing, its just the math, biology and all that. Any other advice out there?

Hey girl welcome to the forum! :D I will be starting my LPN program this summer! I havent been in school in quite awhile either so I definitely feel you on that. I also have a son who is 18 mths right now. It is going to be interesting to see how things are gonna go when I have to start school. How old are your children?? If you ever need some advice or someone to talk to about anything with your classes or about anything in general you can always message me. I stay at home during the day with my son and work at night. And you will make it through because you seem like a go getter and if you want it bad enough anything is possible!! Remember that:yeah:

Hey Atea I know this is random but do you have a Cafemom account??

You'll do fine, you just find a way that works for you. I am almost half way through the LPN program, i have 3 kids (2, 4, and 9), i work per diem and I am a cheerleading coach. If I can do anyone can. I get A's and B's in my classes. I just am very schedule oriented. I have a planner and make sure I am good a time management. Just find what works for you and stick to it. Good luck!!
