Cna exam, help me out

Published

Hey guys, My application for the cna exam just got processed . . . a little nervous right now. but I want to ask what is the "MAIN" thing I should remember when I'm in there testing?

Just be calm! The worst thing you could possibly do is get so nervous you can't concentrate. Read the question before looking at the answers. Answer the question in your head before reading the possible choices, that way you don't over-think or read into the question. If you start to get nervous, just stop and take a deep breath to calm yourself down.

As for skills, read over your skills booklet - it's your Bible for this exam. But, again, don't get nervous about it. All the steps in the book make logical sense; as you're doing a skill, think through the steps as you are doing it, or take a moment to organize your thoughts before doing a skill.

There's really no main thing in my opinion. Keep quality patient care in mind and know your skills and you will be fine.

Good luck on your exam! :)

Handwashing is one you will get no matter what also patient privacy as far as dignity (knocking on the door introducing yourself and telling them what you are going to do and pulling the curtain and patient safety! Just study study study and try not to be nervous! Sleep good the night before and make sure you eat breakfast it helps trust me :)
