CNA Certification Program? (Middle Georgia)

I'm currently finishing up pre-reqs to get into a LPN Program, but would like a part-time job as a CNA. I can't seem to find any information on CNA programs in my area. I live in Warner Robins, close to Macon - I was wondering if anyone knew of any CNA CP that may be close by that you would recommend? I just ran across the name Health Tech of Georgia, Inc. CNA Program. I believe this is in my area, but was wondering if anyone may have attended or knows someone who has?

Middle Georgia Tech has it. Central Georgia Tech has it, but I think it may be "geriatric". The classes showing on Middle Georgia Tech website right now aren't correct; they're having some IT difficulty, but you can call and get the correct info. It's a 1-semester program now. HTH

Thanks! I'll call MGT and see, but last I seen it was currently closed or inactive. I'd love to take it up there, considering that is currently where I am going to college.

---- edit: actually I see the information on it now, thank you very much!

IF you take PCT courses at MGTC, you have to pay for it yourself! I know, bc that is what I was orginally going to do. Pell won't cover it, and Hope won't because it's a "certificate" program.

Ouch! I figured I'd run into a problem. If I get my stafford, I could take out a little additional for this if I needed to. I need to calculate the cost, because it's only 13 credit hours. I actually think what I'm going to do is save up the money and have this fill my Spring semester just in case I don't get into the program! That way I won't feel so hopeless while I wait for the next semester or something. :D Thanks for letting me know that Donna!

The sad thing is, I think they are both around the same price!! I was orginally going to go for my CNA. But as it got closer, I was debating between LPN and PCT. So on the day of registration after being there all day, I was told that PCT courses aren't covered and I'd have to pay. So, I talked to someone else, and they asked why wasn't I going for my LPN? I told them that I had been considering it, and so I did it! I personally feel that was the "push" I needed.
