Clubs and associations ???

Hi - I'm not too sure about any specific organizations for forensic nursing, but I'm still in pre-nursing and I joined NSNA - National Student Nurses' Association - through my school. Since I plan on going into perioperative nursing, I also joined AORN -Association of Operating Room Nurses - as a student. AORN has definitely been more informational to me than NSNA. I receive monthly journals and bulletins from AORN that are very interesting and discuss the current trends and issues on the OR. Hopefully it will help me someday when I get into the field. Maybe check online to see if there are any forensic nursing organizations that you can join as a student.

How do I know if I am approved? I joined and paid online.... It says it checks your school records do they really? If so would it matter if my last name is different now i'm nervous that I'll be rejected... How Soon will I know if I'm a member?( I did get a member number) if I am accepted how soo. Do I recieve my member packet?

Hi, sorry I haven't checked this site in a while. Did you get it figured out? I'm not sure if they check your school records or not, but they probably do since my member card has my school listed on it. I received a membership card in the mail and a packet that explains all their benefits, etc. I also get emails from them with updates and notifications of upcoming events.

I cAlled and they said your just in when u pay and it's 4-6 weeks to receive the package....
