is the typical attire for a nurse anesthetist a plain colored shirt, pants, and a shower cap? lol

is that what nurse anesthetists wear everyday to work? are there any days in which you could wear nice normal clothes to work? i don't really mind wearing the assigned attire but i was just wondering

Not sure what you're getting at. However, you can't really show a strong fashion sense in the O.R. You have to wear hospital approved/provided scrubs. Outside of the O.R. you'll need to cover up with a lab coat. You will have to wear something over your head and a mask. Feel free to wear whatever you want from the parking lot to the locker room. Or, convince your hospital to invest in PRADA scrubs, however, I don't think they make them.

yeah i just wanted to knwo what they wear.

Plain old boring scrubs my friend. Just think of it this way, you get paid a decent wage and get to wear pajamas all day! :D

Yeah baby! good pay, comfy clothes. . . what more do you want out of life? :)

I suppose you can make a fashion statement with your cap. Where I work I always see people with their own unique caps in the OR. I want to draw silly lips and teeth on my mask but I'm not sure how well that would go over. If you're a girl --or I boy I suppose-- you could always do some crazy eye makeup since that's the only thing peeking out from your mask and cap. hee hee. As a student I had an OR rotation, and wouldn't you know it I was in a car accident that semester and had two lovely blue/green/purple raccoon eyes peeping out from my mask and cap. What a way to spend the semester.
