Clinical vaccination requirement in clinical placement

Published

Hi, I'm a FT HCA in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I would like to become an RN. I'm not vaccinated against Covid-19. I know I don't have to be vaccinated to get into the nursing program at Red River College and I've e-mailed them about the vaccination requirements for clinical placement, they said it's up to the individual institution to decide that choice. I'm wondering more about the hospitals wanting it. My place of work dosen't reqire vaccination to work there now so we get a lot of students in yearly. I was wondering if there are any students in Red River College on this fourm that are in my position that are able to confirm if I can get through clinical placement without Covid-19 vaccination. I'll be asking preceptors about this at some point too. I'm looking at all options for information. Thank you for your time and help.
