I have recently learned that we will not be able to start IVs or give IV meds during clinical. Do you guys think it would be beneficial to me if I buy one of those IV arms? I really want to practice all the skills I can before Im out in the field :/ Any other tips for practicing skills at home?

I've never bought an IV arm, the ones we used in lab were so beat up it didn't come close to replicating real IV insertions. I know people who practiced on their friends/loved ones. We did have to buy the lab kits which had IV and butterfly sets, and syringes - they only helped a little. It does suck you don't get to practice in clinical. Knowing you're itching to practice is a good sign to me, though!
