Clinical Nurse Leader 2016 UNIVERSITY OF SAN FRANCISCO

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Is anyone applying to USF Clinical Nurse leader for 2016 too?

Still haven't receive anything as of today

Nothing today too.

Nothing yet.

By looking at previous threads, they usually longer than 8 weeks unless the top 30 students are so competitive that already notified them.

I noticed that some people from this forum said that they received calls in mid Dec to January. It depends on applicant pool. I want to know asap so I can plan ahead asap. I have lots of things to do, like taking GRE and TEAS if I don't get in.

These nursing applications can get tedious and complicated. I've already taken the GRE once and TEAS twice because different schools have different requirements. I'm also considering taking the HESI so I can apply to more schools. :Frankenstein:Sigh...getting into nursing school shouldn't be this difficult...Many of my friends have finished nursing programs and they had MUCH LOWER GPAs than me.....

Which schools your friends applied to?

What schools did u apply to?

Which schools your friends applied to?

SJSU, College of San Mateo and De Anza College. Some of them are A.S. degrees and SJSU was a bachelor. Darn us and our high standards, getting a Associate of Nursing is a lot easier, faster, and cheaper compared to this route.

I applied to seven schools. I leave no chances. lol

I'm sure u will get into at least one or two nursing programs. A lot of community colleges are by lottery system and I don't think I'm lucky to be selected. I only

applied to USF, so chances are little low for me. I'll see what I can do to reapply and also apply to more schools.

Do u mind me asking if you have some volunteering experience in health field?

I'm currently a dental assistant for a General Dentist and Periodontist and I volunteer at a Kaiser hospital.

My stats are not that good, they average around 3.5 but I guess I do have a lot of experience in healthcare. I also joined the schools honors program and had my physio honors professor write my LOR. (I hope that will strengthen my application.)
