Clinical managers?

Published

Wondering if any of you like the job? I'm going on an interview today for a clinical manager position in a small unit. I've been doing Charge Nurse for 6 years now. It sounds like it may be a nice job, but I'm quite skeptical. I have a small son and will only be able to work three days per week. They're agreeable to the schedule, but I'm wondering if it'll be the right move for me. Advice?

if this is an fmc unit, run away as fast as u can:) i was cm for about 3 years and the last year was horrible with chronic understaffing and the inability to get permission to hire. worked the floor nearly everyday, 6 days a week, salaried. pay probably worked out to be $5/hr when it was all said and done..... glad it's over.

I agree with slick kitty about the underpayment. I did it for awhile and I lost money even though I was being paid more. I work acutes now and my manager is always asking if I want her job because she isnt making what we are making. Good luck.

NO WAY! I'm getting the hell away from Fresenius! They are the worst, most uncaring company in the area! Others got bonuses (Gambro, Davita, etc.....) we got a Hects' gift card. Oh yeah and we got our direct deposit taken away (PRN) because they considered it a benefit. WUGH!

RCG is not all whats its cracked up to be either. If you dont care much about your co-workers or employees, then this is the place you want to apply.
