I don't know. That's exactly why I got into dialysis to aviod the member. I had one pt. (an amputee) who had one put in and I had to check it for infection. Believe me, I gave the Dr. hell when he got to the unit because that was a disgusting situation. WUGH!

Indeed they are and it's because they are the cheapest damned company around! If they don't change soon, the patients WILL catch on and go to the competition!

NO WAY! I'm getting the hell away from Fresenius! They are the worst, most uncaring company in the area! Others got bonuses (Gambro, Davita, etc.....) we got a Hects' gift card. Oh yeah and we got our direct deposit taken away (PRN) because they considered it a benefit. WUGH!

Wondering if any of you like the job? I'm going on an interview today for a clinical manager position in a small unit. I've been doing Charge Nurse for 6 years now. It sounds like it may be a nice job, but I'm quite skeptical. I have a small son and will only be able to work three days per week. They're agreeable to the schedule, but I'm wondering if it'll be the right move for me. Advice?

When I graduated in 1998, they wanted me to work there as an RN for about $5.00 an hour LESS then everywhere else. THey figured that having the name HOPKINS on my resume would be enough. It didn't pay the bills, so I turned it down. It's in a terrible neighborhood and the parking prices suck. Too many other places to choose from.
