Hi-

I'm posting this under Informatics and Case Management, as CDI is related to both but too small a specialty to have a "slot" of it's own- just like in real life!

I'm part of a CDI team that uses 3M CDIS, but may be moving over to EPIC. Has anyone used Epic's CDI software? What do you think?

How many CDI nurses are hospital employees vs. outside company/vendor employees?

Not enough. I weary of hospitals saying they have no money for staffing but somehow they have boatloads of it for out-of-house consultants who are tone-deaf to the needs and culture of the extant staff. Sometimes that culture needs a change, but IMHO they could do better by developing in-house people and setting them to the task.
