Nursing Students CNA/MA

Hi everyone,

I recently enrolled in an evening CNA program, only to learned that my 5wks of clinical will be 7am to 3pm which is a problem because i work those hours.I make 15.60 per hr. and have decend health insurance.I am very dissappointed.I am tried these brick walls in nursing.I know age not factor, however, sources are.HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah most CNA courses are in the morning along with the Clinicals. You hardly will never find a CNA course that will give you these in the evening. I believe you live in memphis correct me if your wrong but their isnt any that have evening clincials that I know of. Also, you know once you become a CNA your base pay can be from 8.50-10/hr for entry level. So if you just really aren't happy in your job I would stick to what your doing now. Also, if you are trying to do this because of future goals of being a RN. Most science pre-reqs for a RN program are in the morning in the memphis TN area along with the labs. I'm sorry to hear that the morning situation has become a issue.

The technology center that I'll be taking my CNA through offers an evening class with Saturday morning clinical. Have you asked about the possibility of doing a weekend clinical?
