Clinical Assignments ?

Next quarter we won't get our assignments at the hospital untill 3 or later. I work second shift (3-11) part time at a hospital that, because I work there I will never be able to do clinicals at. So I am wondering how/when does everyone else get their assignments and if you work the night before how do you go to the facility and get the info?

Thanks for any help!!

We got our clinical assignments the day before clinical by going there in person and picking our patients. I always got there last because I lived so far away and because of my schedule so the others got the "good" patients and I got who was left. I would arrange something where you would not work the night before. Your schooling is important so you manager at work should be willing to work with you on this. It won't hurt for you to have set days off that coincide with your clinicals. Otherwise work something out with another worker who has the days off that you need. Good luck with this.
